Installing a faux beam mantel with insert is a simple and straightforward process that can be done by following these steps:

Measure the wall where you want to install the mantel. Make sure that the area is clean and free of any obstacles.

Gather your tools and materials. You will need a level, a drill, screws, and a drill bit.

Install the insert into the wall by marking the locations of the screws with a pencil. Use the drill to make pilot holes and then secure the insert to the wall with screws.

Place the mantel on top of the insert and align it so that it is level.

Place mantel over insert and secure the mantel to the insert by screwing it in place on drilling pilot hole.

Check the level one final time to make sure the mantel is straight.
